The department offers the following courses:

First: BA in English Language and Literature: This degree enhances students' understanding of English language and literature while cultivating their language proficiency and critical thinking abilities. The program is divided into three areas:

1. Advanced language skills, which includes instruction in the fundamental language skills along with translation and journalistic writing.

2. Linguistics, where the English language is studied scientifically, covering linguistic principles, phonetics, and sociolinguistics.

3. Literature, which delves into various literary genres like novels and drama, as well as Western theories, and the periods of American and English literature.

Second: M.A. in English Language and Literature: This program specifically concentrates on:

1. Novel

2. Drama

3. Criticism and literary theory.

4. Literary research methodologies.

Third: M.A. in Translation: This program enhances students' proficiency in English-Arabic-English translation, emphasizing:

1. Translation theories and research methodologies.

2. Written translation across domains like economics, politics, administration, and media.

4. Consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
